Within the framework of the memorandum of cooperation between the Agency of Protected Areas and the Biological Farming Association Elkana, trainings were conducted on the topic of “Service standards and inspection of family guest houses” wich were attended by staff of regional administrations of DPA.

“Elkana’s” trainers acquainted participants with the standards of family guest houses, international experiences in the sphere of cooperation between agrotourism networks and protected areas, practical methodologies of inspection of family guest houses.

As the results of the trainings, an inventory of the family houses in the vicinity of protected areas will be held, selected houses will be inspected afterwards. Houses which will meet Elkana’s standards will be published on Elkana’s rural tourism web-page.www.ruraltourism.ge
