Trainings "Birdwatching" were held during 17-19 October in Akhalkalaki. These trainings were part of a project "Development of Tourism in the Javakheti National Park Support Zone"

The establishment of Javakheti National Park was funded by KFW (Kreditanstalt für Wiederaufbau) and project is implemented by WWF Germany and the WWF Caucasus Programme Office of Consortium in co-operation with the Agency of Protected Areas under the Ministry of Environment of Georgia and Biofarming Associacion "Elkana”.

During trainings participants were introduced to the principals of working in protected areas, principales of eco tourism, types of birds in the region, methods of organizing tours. Also, during field works they traveled interesting routes for tourists, saw optimal teritories and places for birdwatching.
